It will probably be overturned by the Supreme Court at some point for exactly that reason. The legislators were so proud that they'd found a way to keep gays out of "good" neighborhoods. It drove a lot of gay people out of the state.

They didn't think about the long Southern tradition of two widow ladies buying a home together to share their retirement and make their meagre pensions work better.
