Hmm, okay, my adopted cousin calls his biological parents his "real" parents, but on the other hand, that always sort of makes me feel bad for my uncle when P says that in front of him.

Yeah, I guess there are adopted kids who do that. Most of the folks i know who are adopted generally consider their adoptive parents their "real" parents. Of course, they're all adults. *G*

Definitely, when you consider that there's at least 10 years between Aaron & Sean (Sean was 25 in The Tribe) with no other siblings apparent...(and personally I subscribe to the "Hotch is early 40s and the writers just screwed up" theory, so I think there's more like 15 years if you're not math-impaired. LOL) Anyway, yeah, I think they must be half-siblings.

Oh, I have an entire LJ post where in I've figured out, going back from FK where Hotch mentions being a junior in 87, that Hotch would've started college at 12.

Of course, having Prentiss graduate in 89--when Hotch would've, according to FK, graduated in 88--means that Hotch was working for the FBI about a year after he graduated HS, since he was there when Prentiss was off to college. *g* Rossi messed up the timeline as well. *G* Even if Hotch was TG's age? It would still make him a few years too young for everything to fit. I can't think about it for too long--it makes my brain want to go *boom*.

As to the step father theory--it was near the end of S1, after The Tribe aired, that I started thinking that might be the case. In NBK, Hotch implies that his father beat him (and in a chat, Deb Fisher confirmed that was what they meant), but the way he and Sean talk is not like children of an abusive parent...plus the fact that Hotch has brown hair/eyes and Sean is a blue eyed blond. It'd be nice if they'd bring Sean back; I'd like more Hotch backstory. Even if it doesn't match much of anything they've already said...*lol*

To my mind, it's not blood that matters, anyway. It's emotions. Blood only matters for medical reasons. *G*

I totally agree with you. :D
